Vail buys all 17 of Peak Resorts' mountains

Peak Resorts owned 17 mountains across the Northeast

This morning, Vail Resorts announced that they have acquired Peak Resorts, which owns 17 mountains across the Northeast. Included in this deal are Mount Snow, Attitash, Wildcat, Hunter, and many others.

There are 472 active ski resorts in the United States. When this deal closes, Vail will own 34 of them. However, Vail's market share in terms of actual skier visits will be much greater. It remains to be seen how this change will impact the ski and snowboard industry in the Northeast. See below for a list of all mountains that were acquired by Vail today, shown by state.
