After being acquired by Vail Resorts earlier this year, Stowe released their prices for single day lift ticket rates, which top out at a whopping $131 for an adult weekend ticket. This is the highest price ever charged for a lift ticket in New England. Rates are lower if you purchase your ticket at least 2 full days in advance on their website.
Vail Resorts, who recently reported profits of $210 million, added Stowe to their portfolio as their first east coast mountain. This comes with both positives and negatives for east coast skiers and riders. On the plus side, for those who ski or ride Stowe frequently or are planning a trip out west, the Epic Pass provides unlimited access to Stowe and all of the other resorts in Vail’s network. However, if you’re one of the many day-trippers who don’t ski frequently enough to justify a season pass or don’t like to commit to one mountain for the full year, you’ll have to cough up lots of cash if you want to visit one of the country’s oldest and most famous mountains.
If you’re one of those day-trippers, make sure to become a member of No Boundaries (for free!) so you can take advantage of New England’s best lift ticket deals. We’re offering $55 Saturday lift tickets to some of New England’s best mountains all season long. See you on the slopes this winter!
